Pictures speak louder than words.
We hear the phrase, pictures speak louder than words. I don’t believe there is a lot more I can share about the photos above. I will say this, farmer’s markets are incredible!
Living in Minnesota, I am blessed to experience all four seasons. Not only do I experience them, I live them fully!! I love the spring and summer because our fresh farmer’s markets come alive! What a blessing of abundance we are given.
All of my senses come rushing forward when I go to the farmer’s market.
Sight ~ look at the vivid colors, the care and compassion on the faces of those selling their produce, the excitement in the child’s eye as she sees a new vegetable
Sound ~ what a joyous experience ~ I hear the giggles of couples as they walk by, I hear the vendors talking passionately about the goods, I even hear the birds chirping nearby
Smell ~ the flowers, oh yes the flowers ~ so fragrant and strong, yet gentle and welcoming (did I mention, only $5 a bundle!)
Touch ~ my hands automatically want to experience what my eyes are seeing, I can feel the fresh veggies and I search for just the right one, I can feel the warmth of the vendor as we make our exchange, I can feel the strangers shoulder as we connect
Taste ~ the taste of fresh veggies is incredible, the snap of the sugar snap peas and I pop them in, the crunch of the carrots that were freshly harvested that morning, everything is so fresh and vibrant
I am sometimes questioned how eating healthy can be reasonably priced ($20 for all of those veggies). My answer >>> farmer’s market. I encourage you to take a detour this week. Find a local farmer’s market and stop in. You will feel a shift. The energy, the food, the people, the experience. Incredible!
