“When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.” – Wayne Dyer
A man millions have looked to for his wisdom and guidance passed away on August 30th. Dr. Wayne Dyer was known as “The Father of Motivation” and a leader in the self-help industry was 75 years old at the time of his transition. The legacy he left will live on for years to come.
I knew that Dr. Dyer was well-known but the outpouring of love that I have seen expressed over the last few days was much more than I had realized. Marianne Williamson said it beautifully in some remarks she made before her weekly talk:
Personally, Dr. Dyer helped me when I first began my transformational journey over 6 years ago. I quickly gravitated to his work and poured through many of his books, audio tapes, and watched countless hours of him on PBS Specials and other programs and seminars. Upon meeting him about 4 years ago, I immediately said, “Thank You” and although I didn’t get to expand, I believe he knew to what I was referring as I’m certain he’d heard it many time.
Thank you for supporting me to change my life. Thank you for guiding me and giving me tools to explore myself, my life, this world in a more loving, kinder, and compassionate way. Thank you for leading me to other incredible sources and guides such as: Rumi, Swami Vivekananda, Buddha, Lao Tzu, and many others. And thank you most of all for teaching me and reminding me all the time that my life is a choice and leading with love is the best way to live.
Dr. Wayne Dyer embodied love and his legacy will live on forever. And I am grateful.
In honor of his work, I share these 11 quotes with you. Please feel free to copy them and use them and share them. (Please be respectful and do not crop the watermark as these are my personal photos.)
Dr. Dyer, I honor you. Thank you for shining bright for all of us to witness. May you keep shining!!
