“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” – George Bernard Shaw
Excerpt from my book, Dying to be Good Enough:
On the fourth ‘through the board,’ I pushed my hand forward. It connect and in the next moment I was wrapped in Jordan’s arms as I fell to the ground. My board had broke. MY board had broke. OH MY GOD! I BROKE MY BOARD!!! With tears streaming down my face, Jordan helped me up and we moved out of the way. I retrieved my board, now in two pieces, and jumping up and down, I shared my excitement with everyone around me.
For the first time in my life I was made aware how my thoughts, feelings and actions really had an impact on what was happening. If this was the case and I could really affect my life, then I needed to understand more. As I had this realization, my body physically softened and the small still voice inside of me became a little brighter.
Today I celebrate. Friday, July 17, 2009 – exactly six years ago – I broke my board. It was the ultimate beginning to a new life. I had no idea what was in store and it’s been an incredible ride! To read some of the back story, check out this post.
That weekend I made a commitment to have an experiment. I committed to 3 months of changing my thoughts about myself and my life to see if this “stuff” really worked. After two months, I quit. I realized in those short two months how much my life had already started to change. I didn’t need anymore proof and instead knew I needed to be in the world helping others. If I had felt this way for 32 years and had no idea it could be different, how many others felt the same?
I immersed myself in research and coaching programs, diving in to as much self help, inspirational, and empowering material that I could get my hands on. I started my business, Inspiring Radiance, with little (aka NONE) knowledge of what it means to run a business. That didn’t stop me, though. I set out on a journey to support others in knowing they are enough!
I’ve made course corrections (many of them!) along the way and the business and grown and evolved a number of times. I imagine it will continue growing and evolving, too! And yet, through all of the changes that have taken place, one thing remains the same – my desire to serve and support you so you know that you really are amazing.
With that desire in hand, I’ve had a number of offerings over the past 5+ years:
- 1:1 coaching
- small group coaching
- values assessments
- lunch and learn
- community festival program support
- corporate presentations
- church keynote speeches
- religious/spiritual workshops and gatherings
- high school programs
- college series/presentations
- clubs, non-profits, and organizational presentations
- Kundalini Yoga classes and workshops
- released my first book
- partnering with others to present and co-create
- co-host of a podcast
- online programs
- and more!
Some of these offerings have come and gone and some remain.
Looking forward, I tend to run my business like I run my life – through my heart. I don’t have an absolute list of offerings or what I will and won’t do. Instead, I have a few things that I share with others and trust that if you want something else (something more), you’ll ask. For example, I don’t currently have it listed that I offer coaching – and yet, I repeatedly find myself coaching clients. I’m often approached at an event asking if I offer coaching. After some discussion and dialogue we agree on what works for both of us and move forward into a coaching relationship.
I absolutely LOVE having the opportunity (and the many offers and options) in which to support you and your happiness!!
Because this is a Day of Celebration, I am bringing back all of those offers (and whatever else you can think of!).
Check out these special offers I’ve put together for you. And….remember….much of what I do is arranged because someone like you decides they want something a little different that I don’t have listed. Soooo…REACH OUT! Ask me about whatever it is you’re hoping for and I’m sure we can come to an agreement. Want me to put on a workshop? Sure! Need a presenter for your women’s group? Perfect! Have a company lunch and learn and want a speaker? Great!
Again, you really are the reason I’m here and the reason I get to do my work. Thank you – from the bottom of my heart. Thank you!
